Start by creating a Property for the publication with an individual work email. Connect the social pages using an account with full administration rights, set the time zone and complete the website-tag setup and test. Properties separate publication domains. Editor permissions can be limited to selected social pages; they do not include Settings, Autofeed or CSV analytics exports.

A feed needs two steps: add its URL under Settings > Content Feeds, then assign it to the intended pages under Settings > Pages. Merely adding the URL does not supply any page. RSS carries article details that help prepare posts. With sitemaps, Echobox reads only the first 3,000 articles and brings newly added entries into the Home Feed after connection.

Automation can cover new stories, reshares, out-of-hours work or a combination. Custom settings control article age, reshare count and the gap between appearances of the same story; reshares can be restricted to items marked Evergreen. This lets a newsroom treat a lasting guide differently from a dated event report.

Editors can remove or revise proposed posts in the Schedule Queue. A manually deleted item will not be scheduled again for at least thirty days. With Optimal automation, manual posts reduce the automated volume; with Custom, they do not. A busy desk should account for that distinction when combining manual breaking-news posts with its regular schedule.
