What it does

Ecomail combines newsletter creation, segmentation, personalization and ecommerce-connected automation. Its visual flows can send messages or update contacts, while different triggers determine how existing and newly eligible people enter.

Trigger Now takes an immediate selection of contacts; it does not keep scanning the audience afterward. Use a recurring trigger when the purpose is to revisit a condition regularly. For example, a one-time field cleanup and an ongoing check for lapsed subscribers require different entry rules even if they use similar contact filters.

The automation's frequency is another decision. Run once prevents later re-entry; multiple runs allow a contact back after completion; parallel runs allow another entry while an earlier instance is still active. Match that choice to the workflow before adding a second trigger.

Ecomail's test mode changes the selected contact's actual automation position: an existing active instance is removed and restarted, and waits are shortened for testing. Use a dedicated test contact when preparing the flow. A live automation must be paused for further edits.

Recurring triggers are documented under Marketer+. The paid packages are priced by active contacts, with these displayed starting monthly fees:

Plan Starting monthly fee, USD Main distinction
Free $0 Up to 200 emails per month
Profi $20 Newsletter creation and basic automation
Marketer+ $30 Adds ecommerce integration, coupons and customer-behavior automation

Paid accounts have a three-month minimum. The continuing Free plan is separate from the 14-day paid-plan trial, which requires no credit card.

Registration asks for a name, email, password and account name. Choose the account name carefully: it becomes part of the ecomailapp.com address and cannot be changed later.

Strengths

  • Immediate enrollment and repeated audience checks are separate trigger choices
  • Run frequency distinguishes later re-entry from simultaneous instances

Watch out for

  • Testing can remove a contact's existing active instance and restart it
  • Paid accounts have a three-month minimum

Best for

  • Ecommerce email teams maintaining segmented newsletters and contact follow-up
