What it does
Ecommpay provides online payment processing through hosted forms, API integrations and a merchant dashboard. Businesses can choose a redirected checkout, embed a form or use a small card-entry component within their own design, then manage payments and refunds. Merchant access requires approval, and eligible UK small businesses can apply for a published pay-as-you-go offer.
Fit the payment form into your checkout
Ecommpay offers a hosted page reached by redirect, an embedded iframe, and a microframe containing three card-detail fields. The iframe's colors, logo position and fonts can be adjusted through the dashboard. The microframe gives a business more room to retain its own surrounding checkout design.
Keep payments and refunds traceable
A payment record can contain several operations, such as a charge followed by a refund. Their statuses can differ: a successful refund operation belongs to a payment that is now marked refunded. Payment and operation identifiers appear in callbacks and the dashboard, helping an integration connect those events.
The online dashboard also lets teams schedule transaction reports and limit staff access to particular information. This is useful when the people handling customer queries need a different view from the finance team.
Test the configured payment methods
Technical support creates separate test and production projects. Their request addresses and parameters are the same, so the project identifier determines whether a request is simulated or live. Test mode covers a limited set of methods and scenarios; the available methods need checking for the intended integration.
The UK small-business offer
This route requires UK registration, an active website and at least six months of trading, annual revenue below EUR 2 million, and fewer than 10 employees. The rate card lists UK consumer-card transactions at 1.30% plus GBP 0.20, with additional charges for events such as refunds and currency conversion. A UK business bank account is required.
Confirm international-card charges in the agreement: the small-business calculator and linked rate card show different currencies for the fixed fee. The published small-business offer is pay as you go with no account opening fee; it should not be treated as a universal tariff for every Ecommpay configuration.
