What it does
EduBeam models plane beams, frames and trusses, updating forces, reactions and deformation diagrams as the model changes.
EduBeam models plane beams, frames and trusses, updating reactions and force/deformation diagrams as geometry, supports or loads change. Check the unit chip first: SI display defaults include m, kN, kN·m and MPa, while saved JSON always uses m, N, Pa and radians. Its Timoshenko elements include shear deformation; the section's shear correction factor matters, and the default 1 uses the full area. Export drawings as PNG/SVG, results as CSV, or the whole model as JSON. Opening a project replaces the current model, with Undo/Recent recovery. Share links contain a model copy whose later edits do not synchronize. The provider says work stays in the browser; autosave belongs to one browser profile and clearing site data removes it, so save a project file for a backup.
Strengths
- Results update as loads and geometry change
- Models, drawings and result tables can be shared or exported
Best for
- Learning how supports and loads affect a structural model
