What it does

Effie is a writing tool for notes, lists, outlines, and mind maps. It offers a distraction-free editor with Markdown syntax, one-click conversion from outline to mind map, and export to PDF, DOCX, Markdown, and image strips. Effie combines a calm editor, outline lists, and mind maps in one place. You can arrange texts and outlines freely, then convert an outline to a mind map with one click. Export options include PDF, DOCX, Markdown, EffieSheet, and photo strips. Effie AI can generate summaries and outlines, shorten or expand text, change tone, translate, fix spelling and grammar, and brainstorm ideas. The pricing page states that Effie requires a paid subscription for use and that the trial version is for evaluation only. Effie Pro costs US$6 billed monthly, and Effie AI is a separate add-on at US$6 billed monthly. A combined Pro AI plan is US$9 billed monthly. Pro syncs across 10 devices.
