What it does
The U.S. Energy Information Administration's children's resource on energy sources, use and conservation.
Energy Kids connects everyday questions about power to explanations of energy sources and how energy is used. Games, a glossary, historical material and teacher resources give several ways into the subject. It can support a small project about a familiar object: identify the energy it uses, follow the explanation of its source, and discuss where energy changes form along the way.
Strengths
- Energy explanations are accompanied by games and teaching resources.
