What it does
Ekubo provides token pools on Starknet and Ethereum-compatible networks. A pool combines a token pair, fee, price spacing and an optional extension that changes its behavior. Its tools support direct swaps, liquidity positions and orders spread over time.
On Ekubo, the token pair alone does not identify the position. Start by choosing the pool, including its fee and extension. Select a lower and upper price, enter an amount within the available balance, and confirm to create the position. If price leaves the range, it stops earning swap fees; at either boundary it holds only one of the two assets.
For trading integrations, the quote service takes a network, token pair and either a spending amount or desired output. It returns routes tied to a specific block, including splits across pool types. The router combines those splits, checks slippage against the total and settles the resulting token transfers.
Dollar-cost averaging (DCA) orders sell a token gradually between a start and end time. Choose a direct DCA-enabled pool and an amount. The price is not fixed, exact output is unavailable, and the order can be stopped. Timing follows chain-specific increments rather than arbitrary seconds. The token representing ownership of the order also controls its remaining capital; transferring it transfers that right.
Scheduled volume matched directly against opposing orders has no swap fee. The unmatched portion trades against the pool and pays its fee. Ordinary swap charges depend on pool configuration, and extensions can add charges. DCA spreads execution over time but offers no price floor.
Strengths
- Quote service handles exact input or desired output
- Pool extensions support several execution styles
- Liquidity creation exposes pool, range and amount separately
Watch out for
- Out-of-range liquidity stops earning swap fees
- DCA orders have no price protection or exact-output option
- Transferring the order ownership token transfers its capital rights
Best for
- Developers and liquidity providers selecting pool behavior and execution timing
