What it does
Electric Literature is a nonprofit literary publication covering books and publishing fiction, essays, interviews and reading recommendations.
Use a reading list to follow a theme, then sample the publication’s original fiction if you want a shorter read. Its different editorial sections have distinct formats, including stories, excerpts and graphic narratives. That mix makes it useful for literary discovery without needing to commit immediately to a whole book.
The publication says its online work is free without a paywall. Paid recordings of past salons are a separate product, and some links to books earn affiliate commission.
