What it does
El Malpensante is a Colombian publication of literary and cultural writing in Spanish. Its website presents essays, features and selected online work, alongside publication and event material.
The longer literary pieces provide a different reading experience from a news summary. Begin with a subject or writer you recognize, then use the magazine selection to find less familiar voices. Online-exclusive writing has a separate route from the magazine and archive; the site says full content is available through its subscription plans.
