What it does

Emailit combines transactional delivery, incoming mail and marketing campaigns with templates, contacts, logs and webhooks. Its free workspace gets 3,000 credits each month with a 100-email daily limit and no card requirement. API and inbound emails use one credit each, while campaign messages use two.

Emailit's webhooks send a batch, not necessarily one event per request. An endpoint receives a JSON array of up to 100 queued events, oldest first. A successful response acknowledges the whole batch; a timeout, redirect or other failure causes retries for about three days. The receiving application must therefore handle several events in one request.

Event filters control which changes reach the application. A delivery-status panel may need delivered and bounced events, while a contact-sync process needs different resource changes. New dashboard webhooks initially receive all event types; filters can narrow the traffic, with payload filtering depending on the plan.

Capacity is measured in credits. An API or SMTP email and an inbound email each consume one, a campaign email consumes two, and an automation run consumes three. The free workspace receives 3,000 credits monthly with a 100-email daily limit. That is not a 3,000-campaign-email allowance. Credit purchases and subscriptions provide different ways to add capacity.

Start with an account and verify a sending domain; Free does not require a card. Purchased credits never expire, while included plan credits refresh monthly. The first credit purchase raises the daily sending limit from 100 to 5,000 emails. Automations are currently labelled beta, and roadmap features marked Soon or Planned are not yet available.

Strengths

  • Webhooks cover both message outcomes and contact or other resource changes
  • Credit purchases and subscriptions offer different capacity options

Watch out for

  • Webhook consumers must handle batches and possible retries
  • Campaign email and automation use more credits than a single API email

Best for

  • Product teams connecting email events and campaign activity to their application
