What it does
Empower Personal Dashboard brings connected accounts into one personal finance view. Its free tools include categorized transactions, expense monitoring, cash flow and a net-worth overview.
Spending beside household balances
Connect the accounts you want to follow, then compare income and expenses in the cash-flow view. Spending categories show where purchases went, while net worth combines assets and liabilities. The dashboard and financial tools are free after signup.
Fill a gap in an account
For a cash or credit-card account, open Account Details and choose Add transaction. Supply the date, description, category and amount, using the credit or debit sign as appropriate. Entries are added one at a time; this control is unavailable for investment accounts or accounts classified as Manual Accounts.
Imported history and pending transactions depend on the financial institution. Balance tracking begins when an account is linked, and older transaction files cannot be imported from Excel or other documents.
Strengths
- Categorized spending, cash flow and net worth in one dashboard
- Individual missing transactions can be added to cash and credit-card accounts
Watch out for
- Historical transaction files cannot be imported from Excel or other documents
- Available history and pending-transaction details vary by institution
Best for
- People reviewing household spending alongside an overall account picture
