What it does
The Internet Encyclopedia of Ukraine provides articles on Ukrainian history, culture, geography, society and diaspora, accompanied by visual and audio material.
A place-name search can lead into geography, institutions and cultural history through linked entries. Maps and photographs add context, while music files support topics that are difficult to represent in text alone. The thematic sections offer a useful route when the question spans several related subjects.
The digital reference builds on a 1984-93 print encyclopedia while adding updates. Preserve the individual article’s author and revision context, especially for changing political or administrative subjects.
