What it does

Enginus combines beam, rebar and section-property calculators with professional structural-design tools.

Enginus separates free structural calculators from professional design tools, with a seven-day Pro trial requiring no credit card. Its beam page supports simply supported, cantilever, fixed-fixed and propped models with point/distributed/trapezoidal loads and moments. SI inputs include span in m, force in kN, E in GPa and I in cm⁴; deflection is shown in mm. The elastic Euler–Bernoulli model assumes constant EI for deflection. EC/ACI controls change conventions and load-combination/stress rules, but do not themselves perform a member code design check. The main factored-load deflection is not a serviceability result; a separate SLS panel shows service combinations. Diagrams, a results table, hand calculations, share links and JSON export support review.

Strengths

  • Free beam, rebar and section-property tools
  • SI and US unit systems

Watch out for

  • Professional design tools follow a paid plan after a trial

Best for

  • Reviewing structural formulas and member checks
