What it does
EODHD supplies financial-data interfaces for historical prices, intraday data, fundamentals and news, with spreadsheet integrations. Registration includes a Free Package with 20 API calls per day. Paid personal and commercial plans have different datasets and usage terms.
Pick the data package first
A price-history project and a company-fundamentals project need different subscriptions. The EOD Historical plan focuses on daily prices, while EOD + Intraday adds intraday and streaming access. Fundamentals covers financial datasets; the ALL-IN-ONE package combines the main categories.
Free allowance and request costs
The Free Package allows 20 calls a day and one year of price history. A request can consume more than one call: intraday and news cost five, fundamentals ten, and bulk requests at least 100. The allowance resets at midnight GMT.
Create an account to obtain an API key. JSON and CSV routes, Excel and Google Sheets add-ons offer different ways to use the data. For commercial products, use the separate Commercial/B2B plans rather than assuming a personal subscription covers redistribution.
Strengths
- Offers spreadsheet add-ons as well as programming libraries
