What it does
Esko Studio is packaging visualization software working with Adobe Illustrator. It creates views of boxes, bags, bottles and other packaging, with simulated materials and print finishes. Outputs include packshots, movies and 3D content.
Esko Studio brings structural packaging and Illustrator artwork into the same review. Its box tutorial assigns cut and crease properties, checks the dieline, sets the board and folding angles, and saves the folded structure as an ARD file. The Studio window then lets the designer rotate the result while inspecting the printed panels.
Finishing operations can turn a spot colour into gold foil or apply a coated liner. A packshot can be exported as TIFF; documented sharing options also include image sequences, Collada, glTF and interactive 3D PDF. Some technical inks are excluded from the Visualizer or ray-traced preview, so the rendered view does not display every production separation.
The store distinguishes Essentials from Advanced, with flexible-packaging and shrink-sleeve toolkits listed under Advanced. Named subscriptions belong to one user; Dynamic subscriptions share a pool of seats across a team. The 30-day Advanced trial requires an Esko ID and installation alongside Illustrator on Windows or macOS. Choose the edition around the package structures you need to build, as the included tools differ.
