What it does

Europass brings together a profile, CV and cover-letter tools with information about learning and working in Europe. The official portal also links to qualification comparisons, digital-skills testing and European digital credentials.

Begin with the task you need to complete. A job applicant can open the CV or cover-letter tools; someone considering study or a move can start with the learning and working information. This keeps document preparation separate from deciding whether a particular opportunity suits you.

Qualification comparisons are useful when an education record needs explanation across different national systems. They should prompt you to investigate the receiving institution’s or employer’s requirements rather than assume automatic recognition. Europass also links to EURES for employment discovery. Keep your own experience and evidence at the centre of any document you create, and follow the destination service when it takes over a search or application.

A guest can download a completed CV to a local device. A registered user can also store it in the Europass library. The editor supports several languages, but it does not translate information already entered in a profile or document.
