What it does
ExifCleaner is an open-source desktop metadata-removal tool for supported images, videos and PDFs, with batch processing and inspection controls.
ExifCleaner is useful before sharing a collection of photos or documents that may contain location or device metadata. Its current page describes batch processing and a before-and-after view of removed fields. Keep copies of the originals and review what the intended recipient still needs, such as orientation information. Removing metadata does not remove identifying content visible in the picture or text itself. This is a file-inspection workflow, not a claim that a shared document becomes anonymous.
