What it does
Fab is a marketplace for digital production assets, including 3D models, materials, HDRIs and animation. Game artists, filmmakers and visualisation teams can browse free and paid listings by product type and compatible tool. Free files can be downloaded without an account; purchases and a saved library use an Epic Games account.
Choose the file you need
A listing shows its formats, technical details and licence. Some models also have an interactive 3D preview. For a free download, choose Download, accept the applicable licence and select the file format. Adding it to My Library requires sign-in.
Fab in the Epic Games Launcher can export assets to Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Unity and Unreal Engine. Unreal Engine and UEFN content has its own launcher or editor delivery route.
Source files and usage rights
Fab's Standard licence summary permits commercial projects, modifications and sharing with collaborators on the same project. It prohibits reselling or redistributing an asset by itself. Personal and Professional tiers grant the same rights, but the buyer's revenue determines which price tier applies.
Reference Only access supplies a referenced asset rather than editable source files. UEFN Source supplies the publisher's project files. Check that distinction before choosing content you need to modify.
Some listings use Creative Commons Attribution or a legacy Unreal Engine Marketplace licence instead. The applicable licence is shown on the listing.
