What it does
Faded Page makes ebooks available without charge and works with Distributed Proofreaders Canada on preparation and correction.
For a particular book, use the download page’s own error-report link if you notice a transcription problem. That is more useful than sending a general site message, and it reflects the archive’s ongoing proofreading process. Before reusing a text outside Canada, establish its local copyright status.
Individual book pages list their actual download formats. One checked title offers EPUB, PDF, text, HTML and Mobi, with a warning that not every Kindle app opens every Mobi file. The experimental email-to-Kindle route also needs an approved sender in the Amazon account; downloading a compatible file is a separate option.
