What it does

Fast Budget combines income and expense records with repeating category budgets and a dashboard for subscription costs and renewals. The free mobile plan keeps records on one device; annual Premium adds web access, while Ultra adds bank synchronization.

A subscription’s monthly and yearly cost can be easy to underestimate from a single renewal. Fast Budget’s dashboard shows recurring services and renewal reminders. Other budgets can repeat weekly, monthly or yearly, with subcategories for more detailed spending records.

Plan Website price Main access
Free €0 Local records on one device
Premium €19.99 a year Online storage, web access, PDF reports and advanced charts
Ultra €29.99 a year Premium features plus supported bank connections

Bringing in existing transactions

Create the relevant accounts and cards before importing a file. The mobile CSV importer expects columns in this order: Value, Category, Account, Date, From/To, Notes. Match its date format and comma or semicolon separator to the file. The web importer accepts CSV and XLS files and can supply a default account or category when those columns are absent.

For bank imports, first enable synchronization on the User page. In Accounts, press + and choose Bank synchronization, then follow the Salt Edge connection steps. On returning, choose whether the imported account is new or should link to an existing manual account. Initial history depends on the bank, commonly three to six months, and refreshes normally happen overnight.

Bank support varies by country. For EU and UK connections, removing access requires deleting the connection data in both Fast Budget and the Salt Edge dashboard; the provider dashboard is used for deletion, not everyday account management.

Strengths

  • A separate subscription dashboard tracks recurring costs and renewal reminders.
  • CSV import supports existing records, with additional import controls on the web.
  • Manual accounts remain useful without a supported bank connection.

Watch out for

  • The free plan excludes web access, PDF reports and bank synchronization.
  • EU and UK bank-connection removal involves both Fast Budget and Salt Edge.

Best for

  • People comparing subscriptions with other category spending
  • Budgeters who want manual records now and optional bank imports later
