What it does
FastStone Photo Resizer converts, renames, crops, rotates and resizes batches, with text and watermark additions.
Prepare dimensions, watermark/text and naming rules together, then use the conversion and rename previews before processing the image set. Sequential numbers and filename search/replace help give the batch consistent names; saved options support another run. Check export format separately from input support: HEIC and WebP are readable, while the stated save list is JPEG, JPEG2000, PNG, GIF, BMP and TIFF. HEIC needs Windows 10/11 WIC codecs. A portable package runs from a folder. Personal/educational use is free; paid licences are one-time lifetime purchases with free upgrades.
Strengths
- Renaming and image edits share a batch workflow
- Text and watermark additions
Watch out for
- Free use is limited to personal and educational contexts
- The listed input formats exceed the stated save formats; HEIC depends on installed WIC codecs.
Best for
- Preparing named image sets
