What it does

Feedonomics prepares and distributes product data across advertising and commerce channels. Its managed service combines transformations, synchronization and specialist support. BigCommerce merchants can also use the free Surface Basic feed option within the same product family.

Feedonomics imports data from stores, product-information systems and databases using common structured files or direct connections. It can standardize field names, units and categories before applying destination-specific mappings. Full and incremental updates can be scheduled separately.

Missing-value alerts and export stops help catch a supplier update before incomplete records reach other channels. Choose who investigates those alerts and which changes should block an export. Outputs can be separated by region, brand or catalog.

Surface or managed service

Option Scope
Surface Basic Free; up to 100,000 SKUs and 2 connections
Surface Retail Paid; transformation rules, external files and larger connection allowances
Managed Service Custom quote; dedicated feed management and expanded channels

Surface opens from BigCommerce Channel Manager. Choose a channel, connect its business account and enable automatic sync. It imports the catalog and lets you change channel listings without altering store data. Each store-to-channel pairing counts as one connection.

Managed-service quotes depend on SKU count, channel types, channel count and service level. Feedonomics does not charge a percentage of revenue.

Team access

The platform requires an account. Primary Users can add colleagues under the account menu's Permissions > User Access Control. Grant access to the whole account or selected databases. Read+ allows edits only in designated self-managed areas; it does not permit unrestricted database changes.

Strengths

  • Standardization and channel mappings support catalogs from different sources
  • Export alerts and hard stops provide a review point before distribution

Watch out for

  • Surface Basic allows only two store-to-channel connections
  • Read+ access permits edits only within designated workspaces

Best for

  • Brands and distributors managing product data across several channels
