What it does
Fender Play teaches guitar, bass and ukulele through song-based lessons, personalized learning paths and progress tracking.
The early guitar material begins with holding and tuning the instrument before introducing chords and riffs. Song-based practice gives those skills a musical purpose, with later lessons adding ideas such as power chords and tablature. Choose your instrument and follow the path at a pace that leaves time to practice between videos.
Play is sold as a monthly or annual subscription. Practice Mode adds scrolling tablature and a metronome, while Feedback Mode listens to your playing, giving a way to practise a passage after the demonstration rather than only replaying the video.
