What it does
ffWorks exposes FFmpeg conversion, codec settings, filters, subtitles, metadata, and batch processing through a Mac interface. It includes reusable drop zones and media-quality metrics.
Create a drop zone for a repeated target, then send files through its crop, colour, overlay, subtitle and encoding settings. Available formats/codecs follow the installed FFmpeg version. Up to eight files can run simultaneously. Joining uses passthrough concatenation or a complex filter; subtitles can remain soft or be burned in, and VideoToolBox provides a hardware route. Quality metrics support inspection alongside representative footage. The version-5 licence includes future 5.x updates; upgrades from versions 1–4 are separately paid.
