What it does

First Hawaiian Bank's digital service combines account records, transfers and mobile cheque deposits. My Money adds spending and budget views using FHB and supported outside accounts. Pure Checking has no monthly service charge with electronic statements, while optional Bill Pay has a separate fee or waiver.

See spending across your accounts

Link supported outside accounts to My Money when your budget needs more than the First Hawaiian relationship. Online access must already be set up at the other institution. Transactions receive categories automatically, and you can change those categories.

In Connections, choosing an institution and Delete/Discontinue Institution removes every account linked through it. Use Hide Account when you only want to hide one account. My Money also tracks budgets and calculates net worth; its Cash Flow tool is available in FHB Online only.

Pure Checking and optional services

Pure Checking requires US$20 to open. Its US$4 monthly fee is waived with electronic statements, for a primary holder aged 25 or younger or 50 or older, or with US$500 in qualifying direct deposits per statement cycle.

Bill Pay costs US$5.99 a month on Pure Checking, waived with US$500 in direct deposits per calendar month. AutoPay schedules recurring bills. To stop the Bill Pay subscription, open Settings → Unenroll from Bill Pay in FHB Online. Keeping paper delivery alongside electronic statements adds US$5 a month.

Pure Checking applicants must be at least 14; anyone under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian present when opening the account. Online banking enrollment requires an FHB account number and Social Security number. Customers without a Social Security number use the bank's manual enrollment form.

Some trust, investment and insurance accounts can be viewed but cannot be transacted through FHB Online. The bank says its products and services are unavailable to EU residents.

  • The bank excludes EU residents from its products and services
