What it does
Figma Design combines interface drawing, reusable design resources and prototyping in a shared design workspace. Designers can edit together, leave comments and build responsive layouts with Auto layout. A Figma account gives access to the free Starter plan, with paid plans for larger design libraries and team workflows.
From a screen to a shared design
Figma's multiplayer files let colleagues work on the same canvas. Comments attach feedback to the design, while components and styles keep repeated interface elements connected. Auto layout adjusts frames as their contents change; interactive overlays and transitions turn screens into a prototype.
Choosing a plan and seat
| Plan | Main distinction |
|---|---|
| Starter | Free, with unlimited drafts and UI kits |
| Professional | Paid seats, unlimited team files and projects, team libraries and advanced prototyping |
| Organization | Shared libraries and fonts across teams, plus centralized administration |
| Enterprise | Custom team workspaces and additional design-system controls |
Choose a Full seat when the job includes authoring Figma designs. Viewing and commenting on paid-plan files do not require extra paid seats. Start through Get started, then create a design file or choose a UI kit. FigJam is the whiteboard product; Figma Design is where you draw the interface.
