What it does
File Converter is an open-source Windows utility that converts files through Explorer's context menu. It supports audio, video, image, and document outputs with configurable presets.
Add, edit or remove Explorer context-menu presets so repeated conversion starts with file selection. The support matrix is directional: Office documents are inputs and require installed, activated Microsoft Office, while PDF is a document output. File Converter 2 targets 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11; a separate legacy build covers older 32-bit systems. This desktop project is distinct from the Zamzar-powered website at file-converter.org.
