What it does
FileCatalyst Direct uses a server and compatible clients to transfer large files, with HotFolder and TransferAgent workflow components.
FileCatalyst Direct needs a Server at the central file location plus compatible clients. Use HotFolder for scheduling and automation, TransferAgent for a desktop client with a browser interface, and Central for deployment monitoring. The server runs on Windows or Linux; client routes also include macOS. Check upgrades across components: the guide distinguishes 3.9.x compatibility and extra steps for moving to 4.x. Non-SDK installers bundle their supported Java runtime, while installation or moving to another machine requires a license key. The optional Reverse Proxy has its own network design and should be evaluated separately from the base server.
