What it does

Financial Cents manages accounting-practice work, clients, billing and teams. Its document tools check uploads, apply naming conventions and route files into client folders. A 14-day trial is available without a credit card, followed by a paid team plan.

A client may upload the right kind of statement for the wrong year or bank account. Financial Cents checks the document's contents against the client task, accounting period, project and client details. Switch on the validator under Settings → AI Agents to apply it across client uploads.

When it flags a mismatch, the client can replace the file or keep it. If the client keeps a flagged document, the firm sees an advisory, giving the person completing the job a reason to review it. The validator stays quiet when it cannot confidently identify an error, so a file without a warning still needs the team's normal checks.

The wider practice tools cover workflow checklists, client communication, documents, time and billing. File naming and routing support organised client folders alongside the upload check.

Subscription choices

Plan Per user/month, annual payment Per user/month, monthly payment Main difference
Solo $19 Not offered One user
Team $49 $69 Team practice management
Scale $69 $89 Dependencies, automated follow-up, API and broader controls
Enterprise Quote Quote Custom permissions, webhooks and additional access controls

All plans require a 12-month agreement, including monthly payments. Monthly Team and Scale billing has a five-user minimum; annual payment has no minimum. Month-End Close is a separate add-on, advertised at $5 per client monthly when paid annually.

The 14-day trial requires registration but no card and includes all features. Its access period is useful for reviewing the firm's own intake and work processes before choosing a subscription.

Strengths

  • Upload checks compare document content with the requested period, account and client.
  • The team sees when a client keeps a file after a warning.
  • Work checklists and billing sit alongside client document collection.

Watch out for

  • Uncertain document matches do not trigger a warning.
  • Monthly payment still commits the firm to a 12-month agreement.

Best for

  • Accounting firms organizing client document intake
