What it does
Financier is a personal budgeting web app for keeping household income and spending records. Its free mode works offline without an account, while a paid subscription synchronizes budgets across devices. You enter bank and card activity yourself.
Record income and transactions in Accounts, then return to Budget to assign income among categories. That view shows the monthly allowances and lets you change each category's budget as the month develops.
Local use or synchronized use
Choose Create your budget on the website to begin in the browser. Free use has no time limit and keeps the budget on that device. The paid option costs $12 per year and requires signup. It synchronizes changes live when connected; after offline work, synchronization resumes when the connection returns.
Strengths
- Reports compare spending trends across several months.
- The browser app supports Chrome, Firefox and Edge on Windows, Mac and Linux.
Watch out for
- Free-mode budgets do not automatically appear in another browser or computer; clearing the original browser's data can erase them.
Best for
- People manually allocating a household income who sometimes work without internet access
