What it does
Finanzguru brings bank activity, recurring contracts and personal budgets into one app for Germany and Austria. Free access includes connected accounts and a three-month transaction view. Plus adds budgets, longer stored history, forecasts and Excel exports, with a regular advertised price of €0.99 per week.
Build a budget in Plus
On the overview, tap the plus sign in Budgets. Choose a suggested budget or Neues Budget erstellen to make your own. The first choice is whether the budget should follow Statistik, the app's overall financial view, or remain independent.
A budget linked to Statistik inherits its accounts, transfer treatment and period. Choose an independent budget if you need a different set of accounts or a different monthly start day. Select the relevant categories and other filters, save them, then choose the budget type and amount. The app shows a suggested amount from past transactions, which you can change.
A monthly spending budget resets its allowance at the chosen boundary. Budget type cannot be changed after creation. Each transaction can count in only one budget, and an overlap warning shows when another budget already uses matching entries.
Access and cost
You need online-banking access to a current account in Germany or Austria. When connecting, use the credentials for the bank's website; these can differ from the bank's mobile-app login. Finanzguru is available for iOS and Android, and its Mac version requires an Apple M-series chip. The app is in German, with English help available from support.
The basic service remains free, including account and contract tracking, but its visible history stops three months back. Plus is regularly advertised at €0.99 per week and adds budgets, forecasts and the full history held in the app. Some users receive a different price during pricing tests, so the offer shown in the app governs that subscription.
