What it does
FineCount gathers word, character, line and page statistics from different file types and uses those counts in translation quotes and invoices.
FineCount combines file-level and project totals with quotes and invoices. Choose the document elements to count before comparing word, character, line or page totals. It accepts Office documents, PDF and plain text in ANSI, UTF-8 or UCS-2. Words in pictures need a separate step: the format FAQ says FineCount cannot count them, and scanned PDFs need OCR first. The publisher asks users to contact it about licences.
