What it does
Finta provides accounting software for US-based startups, with transaction categorization, forecasts and financial-data access. Tax services are priced separately. Its free tier has transaction and categorisation limits, with higher allowances on paid startup plans.
Finta combines transaction categorisation with forecasts for US-based startups. A rule can match transaction details and assign a category, with an option to apply it to uncategorised history. Transactions needing attention appear as suggestions to review. This gives a founder a repeatable way to organise receipts without treating every automated suggestion as a final accounting decision.
Forecasts use live actuals alongside planned figures. When the underlying data changes, the forecast can flag it and offer Update all or Update selected, so the user chooses which assumptions to refresh. Department views and sharing depend on the plan.
Accounting plans
| Plan | Monthly price | Stored transactions | Monthly categorisations |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 500 | 30 |
| Startup | $99 | 100,000 | 3,000 |
| Growth | $499 | 1 million | 30,000 |
| Enterprise | Quote | Custom | Custom |
Startup adds forecasts and API access. Growth adds department-level work, forecast sharing and custom permissions. The free allowance is therefore a small accounting workspace, with limits on both retained records and new monthly categorisation work.
Tax services are priced separately. Federal filing is $500, including Delaware franchise-tax filing, and state filing is $150 per state. Other filing needs can add charges. Tax enrolment creates a free accounting account because the filing work needs the underlying books.
To create an account, provide a work email and password on Finta's registration page. Keep the accounting records complete before passing them into the tax-service process; the software subscription and filing fees pay for different parts of that work.
