What it does
Firi offers cryptocurrency buying, selling and savings plans in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Local digital identification is part of opening an account. Its website and mobile apps combine trading with account records and tax-reporting tools, while browser-based Advanced Trading gives buyers a way to specify a price.
Start with the right local account
Firi requires customers to have legal capacity, be aged 18 or older and hold valid electronic identification for the supported country. Account checks include information about the customer and their funds. BankID and MitID are among its local identification routes.
The Norwegian Bitcoin guide shows email or Vipps registration followed by BankID verification. For bank funding, use Overview → Deposit money in the app or Main Account in a browser. A manual transfer uses the account and payment message displayed there.
Immediate buying or a chosen price
Under Trade, select Buy, choose BTC and enter the amount in NOK, then open Preview Purchase. This is the route for accepting the available market price.
On the website, Advanced Trading lets you select BTCNOK and enter both the Bitcoin quantity and your price in the Buy BTC panel. An order waits for matching market conditions. This advanced screen is available in the browser, rather than the mobile app.
Recurring payments and charges
A savings plan connects your chosen cryptocurrency and amount to recurring bank payments. You arrange a standing order at your bank, with daily, weekly or monthly frequency. Keep the bank instruction in mind when changing how much you intend to buy.
Firi lists a 0.7% trading fee. Direct trades also carry a 1% to 3% markup, while savings-plan purchases add a 1% to 2% markup. Those markups sit alongside the trading fee. Instant funding by card or the listed mobile payment methods carries a further 3.9% charge; ordinary bank deposits are free from Firi.
Crypto withdrawals have asset-specific charges. Check the applicable table before sending: Firi publishes separate withdrawal schedules for new customers and an upcoming change for existing customers.
Preparing your transaction records
Firi's reporting tools can calculate and export information for activity in the Firi account. Trades held elsewhere need their own records. That distinction matters when collecting a complete history for tax reporting.
