What it does
Fiverr lets freelancers publish Gigs describing services that clients can order. A freelancer profile, service pricing, portfolio and order tools support the work, with earnings and optional promotion features handled within the marketplace.
A Gig needs a concrete scope. Explain the deliverable, price and expectations so a buyer can distinguish the service from a broad skills list. A freelancer profile can include an introductory video and portfolio, with identity verification part of the account workflow. Availability settings and quick responses provide ways to manage enquiries alongside existing orders.
Budget around the freelancer’s share of each sale. Freelancers receive 80% of the purchase amount, including Gig Extras and tips. Earnings move through clearing and withdrawal stages; eligible programmes can have different timing. The Earnings page separates these balances and offers activity records. Paid ads and Seller Plus are additional options, so selling a service and buying promotion are separate decisions. Use order management and the Resolution Center when the scope or delivery needs attention.
Fiverr requires users to be adults able to contract. A person aged 13 to 17 may use the service only through an account owned by a parent or legal guardian.
