What it does
FlowCrypt adds PGP encryption for Gmail through a browser extension. The company also offers an Enterprise Server and Google Workspace key-management tools.
FlowCrypt adds a separate Secure Compose window to Gmail. Install the extension and create or import a private key, then use a recipient's public key where available. For an outsider, use a separate message password shared through another channel. Do not share the passphrase protecting your own private key.
The password-message route uses FlowCrypt's relay and deletes those messages within ninety days for free/shared-tenant use; enterprise-owned infrastructure can choose its expiry. Ordinary OpenPGP delivery is a different route. Prepare key backups for another device: newly generated keys default to a passphrase-protected inbox backup, while imported keys are not automatically backed up unless requested.
