What it does
FolderSync synchronizes chosen folder pairs between device storage and a configured cloud provider or file server, with direction and scheduling controls.
Authorize the cloud or server account, select the left and right folders and choose the sync direction. FolderSync can then run the pair manually or on a schedule, with results in its history. Encryption is available for one-way pairs only, and losing its password prevents recovery. In V2, one-way deletion marks previously unsynced target files as conflicts unless the explicit override permits deleting them. Conflicts can also occur when both copies change. Android requires file permissions; location permission is optional for Wi-Fi-name rules. Free use is available, while automation and webhooks require Pro or Premium. The Android Pro purchase and free-app Premium upgrade are separate entitlements.
Strengths
- Explicit folder-pair configuration
- Schedules, connection rules and sync history
Watch out for
- Account permissions and synchronization direction need careful configuration
