What it does
Fontshare is Indian Type Foundry's free font library for personal and commercial work. It combines ITF originals with selected open-source releases, with family details, character previews and desktop or webfont downloads.
Fontshare lets you inspect more than a large headline specimen. Family pages separate Styles, Glyphs, Details and License, while the glyph viewer switches between basic and full character sets. The font playground includes size, line spacing, weight and OpenType feature controls.
Choose styles and review the selection, then accept the licence terms. Download Fonts supplies OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 files for local use or self-hosting; Use Code provides the hosted webfont route. A whole family also has a Download Family action.
Every font is free for personal and commercial projects, but the licence differs by family. ITF's own Free Font License allows commercial artwork, self-hosted websites and application embedding, while restricting font modification, redistribution and offering the fonts inside a tool for other people to create content. Other families use the SIL Open Font License. For an ITF-licensed family, an external designer or printer who needs the font files must obtain their own copy from Fontshare.
