What it does
Form Approvals turns Google Form responses into approval requests. Recipient order and conditional logic determine which reviewers receive a request and when. Its permanent free plan handles twenty responses a month; paid plans increase capacity and team administration.
Install the add-on while signed into the Google account that will run it. Add recipients and use Set receiving order. With no order, everyone receives the request together. A sequence such as 1, 1, 2 notifies two reviewers in parallel before the next level; level 2 starts after everyone at level 1 has responded.
Use Recipient logic when a reviewer should receive only matching requests. Select a question, comparison and value, then combine conditions with all or any. Comparisons ignore letter case. For example, send a department's requests to its own reviewer without making another form.
Follow the request number in an email to track its status. Administrators can filter requests and send reminders. Keep updates within the add-on: editing the linked response sheet manually can disrupt its operation.
Response and administrator limits
| Plan | Price for twelve months | Monthly responses | Administrators |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Free forever | 20 | 1 |
| Individual | USD 96 | 100 | 1 |
| Team | USD 600 | 1,000, shared | Unlimited |
Requestors and approvers are unlimited on every plan. Team adds automatic reminders and recipient authentication. Paid terms of three or twenty-four months are also offered. A Workspace administrator may need to allow the add-on before installation.
