What it does
Formbold receives website form submissions, stores entries and sends notifications or forwards them to connected apps. An existing HTML form can use its hosted endpoint without a separate mail server. The free account includes 250 submissions per month across 10 forms.
Keep the form's design on your own website. In All Forms, open the form and copy its endpoint from Form Setup. Set the HTML form's action to that address, use POST, and give every submitted input a name; unnamed fields are dropped.
Send Test Submission creates a sample entry so you can check the inbox and connected destinations before launch. Entries appear in Submissions, with email recipients managed under Settings and app connections under Integrations. A normal browser form submission needs no JavaScript.
Plan allowances
| Plan | Monthly submissions | Forms | Team members |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 250 | 10 | 1 |
| Starter | 3,000 | Unlimited | 2 |
| Premium | 10,000 | Unlimited | 5 |
| Business | 30,000 | Unlimited | 20 |
Paid subscriptions have monthly and yearly billing. File uploads, custom redirects, CSV exports and app integrations start on Starter. Its upload limit is five files of 10 MB each per submission. Every plan includes an API for custom integrations and an MCP connection for AI tools.
Decide whether to keep a copy
In Settings > Advanced Options, set the form's data-retention period, from seven days to Never. The separate Submission Archive switch controls whether entries are stored at all. Turning it off still forwards submissions to email and connected apps, but uploaded files are not stored.
Strengths
- Existing HTML forms can submit without JavaScript or a mail server.
- Per-form settings control retention and whether submissions are archived.
Watch out for
- File uploads, custom redirects, CSV exports and app integrations require a paid plan.
- Switching off Submission Archive prevents uploaded files from being stored.
Best for
- Site owners adding submission handling to an existing HTML contact form
