What it does
Formbricks collects feedback through link, website and in-app surveys. Blocks can use answers, variables and hidden context to choose the next question or action. A free Cloud plan includes conditional logic, with paid plans adding audience controls and automation.
Put conditional logic at the bottom of a Formbricks block. A condition can compare a question answer, variable or hidden field with a fixed value or another answer. Actions can calculate values, make an optional answer required or jump to another block; multiple actions run in their listed order.
Routing rules run from top to bottom, with the first match choosing the destination. Place a specific rule before a broader one, then set All other answers will continue to for respondents who match neither. For a questionnaire shared by URL, choose Link Survey in Settings before activating and distributing it.
| Cloud plan | Workspaces | Responses per month | Additional controls |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hobby | 1 | 250 | Core survey features |
| Pro | 3 | 2,000 | Identified respondents, segments and integrations |
| Scale | 5 | 5,000 | Team roles, quotas and workflows |
Hobby is free and includes file uploads, partial responses and API access for custom software, including connections for AI assistants through MCP. Cloud hosting is in Frankfurt. Pro removes Formbricks branding and supports custom webhooks. Pro and Scale offer optional handling of response overages.
Self-hosting is another option. The core uses the AGPL v3 licence, with named SDK packages under MIT; enterprise modules have their own commercial licence. Those licence scopes matter when choosing which functionality to operate yourself.
Strengths
- Logic can compare answers with hidden context and calculated variables.
- A fallback route handles respondents who match no routing rule.
Watch out for
- Core self-hosting does not grant the separately licensed enterprise functionality.
Best for
- Feedback teams building different question paths for different respondent groups
