What it does
Form Director sends Google Form responses to connected applications and document workflows. Approvals can control when those services run, with separate thresholds for each review level. Paid subscriptions support continued use after a finite Basic allowance.
Enable Approval required and authorize with Google. After Approval holds the connected service until approval; Before Approval executes it first. Map the requester's name and email, add recipients and set each level's threshold. Finish with Done.
A level requiring two approvals from three reviewers advances after its second approval. The final level releases an After Approval service. Inspect the generated approval details without editing their underlying sheet.
Allowances and recurring access
Basic permits ten transactions per app each month, capped at one hundred across the account's lifetime. Free usage then ends. A transaction counts a successful service execution; approvals and rejections also count, so one response can consume several.
Paid access renews monthly or annually. Menu → Usage shows consumption. Upgrading increases the allowance immediately, but usage resets on the first of the month.
Strengths
- Approval thresholds can differ between review levels.
- Recipient addresses can be taken from submitted answers.
Watch out for
- Basic's cumulative cap prevents indefinite free processing.
- Upgrading does not reset usage immediately.
Best for
- Google Forms administrators sending approved requests into connected applications
