What it does
Founders Online provides historical documents associated with seven US founders and their correspondents, with edited and annotated records.
Search across the records for a shared subject, then compare letters or drafts in their original contexts. The edition links help trace a document to its editorial collection rather than treating every transcription as an isolated quotation.
Some transcriptions are supplied through Early Access before appearance in a published volume. Check the individual document’s editorial status and retain its edition link alongside the text.
