What it does
Fountain connects to an existing podcast feed or hosts a show, combining publishing, searchable transcripts, clips, social scheduling and audience analytics.
Connecting an existing feed is the useful route when you want archive search, clips and analytics without moving hosts. Episodes are transcribed and indexed so that an older discussion can be found and turned into a new clip. The dashboard provides these workflows directly; connecting an external agent is optional.
Hosting on Fountain adds a different commitment: its livestream feature requires the show to be hosted there. The paid plans also differ in video, subscriptions and team access. Draft clips and social posts wait for approval before publication, so include that review step when deciding how the platform will fit your production routine.
Strengths
- An existing feed can be connected without a hosting migration.
- Archive search, clip preparation and posting drafts share a workflow.
Watch out for
- Livestreams require hosting the podcast on Fountain.
- Team access and some video or subscription features depend on the paid plan.
Best for
- Podcast teams repurposing an established episode archive
