What it does
Framework7 Icons is an MIT-licensed icon library with a ligature font, SVG artwork and React, Vue and Svelte component packages.
Install framework7-icons or download the built files, then include its stylesheet and font assets. The font renders readable ligature names: an element with the f7-icons class and the text house displays the house symbol. CSS font size and color control its appearance. The design’s reference size is 28 pixels.
React, Vue and Svelte projects can instead import pure SVG components such as House from the corresponding package subpath. This artwork can be used independently of a Framework7 application, making it useful for mobile-style navigation in other web stacks.
The package is free for personal and commercial use under MIT, with no product-account requirement for its public download or npm installation. Keep the font paths consistent with the stylesheet. A custom font rebuild additionally requires the documented FontForge and woff2 tools, while the supplied files are already built.
Strengths
- Font and SVG component formats cover several application stacks.
- The library can be used independently of the Framework7 application framework.
Watch out for
- The font route requires the stylesheet and font asset paths to remain aligned.
Best for
- Mobile-style web navigation
- Projects wanting matching font and component artwork
