What it does
France 24's English edition combines international headlines with video reports on Europe, Africa, the Americas and the Middle East.
Its television reporting is a useful companion to text updates, particularly for readers following events in France and Francophone countries. The homepage groups live developments and reported features rather than limiting the view to French domestic politics. For older coverage, the site links to an archive of articles, shows and videos since 2006. A TV guide and a closed-captioned newscast give viewers more specific choices than the live stream alone.
