What it does
Freestock offers free stock photographs, videos, vectors and icons in curated collections. Subjects include business, education, technology, health and outdoor activities, with a keyword search across the library.
Photo pages provide Small, Medium and Large choices and show the selected file’s dimensions before download. The rooftop-sparklers image, for example, lists a Large JPG at 7360 × 3692 pixels. Related keywords lead to more images with the same setting or subject. The technical guide identifies JPG photo files and MP4 video files.
Freestock’s licence permits repeated personal and commercial use with attribution. Include a credit to Freestock.com and link that credit to the site for online use; the image page supplies example credit code.
The licence excludes merchandise and digital templates intended for resale, redistribution of the original files, and commercial use of editorial-only assets. Sponsored or externally linked media follows its own provider’s terms, so the free Freestock licence applies only to the library’s own downloads.
Strengths
- Photo pages show size choices, dimensions and related keywords.
- The licence allows repeated personal and commercial use with credit.
Watch out for
- Online use requires a linked Freestock credit.
- Images cannot be used in merchandise or digital products intended for resale.
Best for
- Bloggers and small teams able to include a visible photo credit
