What it does

Frost Bank’s business online banking combines account activity, vendor payments and deposited-check images. Businesses can give colleagues access without granting full control. Its business checking accounts carry monthly fees, with waiver conditions on the standard and Plus options.

Use deposited-check images to investigate a payment and add a transaction memo for colleagues to see. Shared notes keep the explanation alongside the account activity. Employee and partner permissions can allow access without full control.

Existing customers register for online banking, then activate Business Online Banking through Account Services. Scanner-based deposits and more extensive cash management use the separate Frost Connect service.

Compare the business accounts

Account Monthly service charge before waivers Included activity
Business Checking $14 125 non-electronic items and $5,000 cash processing
Business Checking Plus $30 250 non-electronic items and $20,000 cash processing
Analyzed Checking $60 base charge Charges vary with activity, services and earnings credit

Standard and Plus include unlimited electronic deposits and withdrawals. Plus also includes three outgoing domestic wires, cashier’s checks, money orders and stop payments.

Standard Checking waives its monthly fee with any one of: a $1,500 minimum daily balance; $15,000 combined average daily business-deposit balances under the same name; $1,000 net linked debit-card spending per statement cycle; or a Plus account in the same business name. Above the standard item allowance, each additional item costs $0.35.

Opening the business account

Call Frost or visit a financial centre. Bring the company tax ID, or an SSN for a sole proprietorship, formation documents, the physical business address and government-issued photo ID for every signer. The opening deposit is $50.

Strengths

  • Frost business customers coordinating banking and bookkeeping
  • Businesses comparing account allowances with their monthly transaction volume
