What it does
Full Stack open teaches JavaScript web development with React, Node.js, databases and related application technologies.
The central task is building single-page React applications that communicate with Node-based REST APIs. That makes this a focused choice when you want to connect frontend and backend work. Read Part 0 before beginning: the site directs course questions there. Its curriculum also reaches GraphQL and TypeScript, so treat the later sections as extensions of the application work. This is not a first programming course: participants are expected to know programming, basic web development, databases and Git. The course is free and offers both a certificate and a University of Helsinki ECTS route; read Part 0 for the completion and registration rules before relying on credit.
