What it does
Great Circle Mapper uses airport or location codes to draw paths, ranges and route-distance comparisons.
Great Circle Mapper uses one text box with different actions for paths, ranges, distances and location lookup. Hyphens join route legs and commas separate alternatives, as in SFO-NRT-SIN,SFO-HKG-SIN. A range uses distance plus unit and @location, such as 9380nm@LHR. Choose distance calculation to compare direct and connecting paths, name search for a place, or a code for its detailed location information. The site's warning says information may be inaccurate or outdated and is not valid for flight planning or navigation. Treat a mapped geographic path as a distance comparison rather than an airline's actual flown routing or travel-time estimate.
